Twitter viral can be best described as that incessant flow of tweets in reaction to a particular event. The event can be anything but the reaction happens almost in a specified pattern. Firstly there should be a trigger which would initiate the viral. Next the influencers that is the people who can inspire large networks of people should be inspired themselves with the trigger. Once that happens the small pockets of action starts combining with each other.
The tweets are identified with the hash tags, that is the classifiers which sorts out the tweets from the ocean of randomness. Though in some cases hash tags are not needed as emotions are enough to classify the tweets from others. But that is an exception. Once the process rolls in, you have people talking about the same thing and information flow is at its height leaving aside of course the repetition, that is the retweets. Add to this the spam tweets which would just use the hash tags to promote something very different from what is being talked about. Further there would be opposition to the thought being propagated through the tweets. Nevertheless the criticism adds to the viral effect.
Now that the viral is on, there can be major turning points on Twitter which can cause an affect in the real world as well. The social behavior has a tendency to balloon out and float somewhere in the real world periphery but yes it has to pass the acid test there. It can burst like a bubble or change somethings out there. It all depends how relevant is the viral to the real world.
The downside of the whole viral process is that sometimes it gets wayward. The small issues have the chances of blown out of proportion. But at the same time the positive factors are there which prompts the companies and brands to wish for a viral for their products and services.
In conclusion it can be said, you cannot make the viral happen, it just happens on its own if there are the right ingredients like hard hitting information, controversy, amazing offer, anything which can capture the imagination of the people. The main feature is spontaneity and it cannot be planned or rehearsed. First a buzz or a noise should be there, if the momentum picks up it can spiral into a viral.

Twitterology
Twitter is that enigma which you try to understand but you start loving it without knowing it better. Like that love which is blind and without judging the pros and cons you just dive in it. So what it takes to know the network you love. Some Twitter funda I tweeted some days back are here for you to check. You may like them or hate them but believe me Twitter is like that. Try knowing it that way.
Twitter funda number 1 - if u can keep it short and sweet, well and good or else get lost.
Twitter funda number 2-Never try to make friends, trying won't help, tweets would.
Twitter funda number 3- your reply % should be 30% of your total tweets,if u confused this with chat go and do some brain exercise,it'll help.
Twitter funda number 4-no one is interested what you did last summer or last day, share if it's unique or else keep mum.
Twitter funda number 5-U have to reinvent to make yourself fresh here, stale tweets n attitude won't take u anywhere .Keep surprising people.
Twitter funda number 6- Dahlings if u r a cool dude or hot gal, throw your tantrums somewhere else, not here. You need gray cells here nothing else.
Twitter funda number 8-Try to laugh at yourself, don't make fun of others. You can be cornered out here.
Twitter funda number 9- 140 char limit means u need to show your wit in that space. Twitlonger n SMS lingo strict no no.
Twitter funda number 10- try understanding Twitter you will understand Social Media.
Would like you all to add more to this, what do you think works with Twitter?

Romance 2012: Semantic Web and Social Media
I somehow have this urge to connect Social Media with the Semantic web. For me their romance is bound to happen. Now who would wear the pants is the big question. How would a web which is intelligent, knows a lot would give in to a medium which connects so many things or will that be the other way round?
Will the Semantic Web turn into a Social Media consultant and kind of engulf Social Media. Or both will complete each other.
Think of a possibility where I post a question in a Social Media platform, "Which is the best restaurant for Chinese food in the town?" I get lot of responses, suggestions and even location maps to reach a place. Now I am flooded with suggestions.
How Semantic Web is going to help me differently than this. If it is going to tell me what I get from Social Media platform now, then why I would use it? Is it going to tell me, " Ok you want the names of the Chinese restaurants, why not also try out some Thai restaurants in the same locations?"
I mean my point is, I want to know how Semantic Web is going to be different from what my Social Network is?
Further why I would want to know from humans about a place rather than artificial intelligence, isn't it? Experts are of the view that what we say in the social networks will have less value than what semantic networks will say about us.
The debate will continue and the romance as well.Let's hope it is in 2012.

Web 4.0 ,is it coming?
Web is ever changing as we all know , we are now in Web 2.0 stage and talks have started of Web 4.0. One wonders then what happens to Web 3.0? Is it only a transitional phase or early stage of Web 4.0.
If Web 3.0 means intelligent web, data mining ,artificial intelligence and whole lot of other key features then at what degree will the development be that Web 3.0 will pass on to Web 4.0. Maybe when the Semantic Web will be prevalent and machines will be intelligent enough to compile and analyze and present data then web as some point out, will change to learning web.
It can be just like another user grasping concepts presenting information. Will that be Web 4.0 or what? Folks we are in for some real intelligent web this much we can analyze. A web where we will not only get the information which we want but also additional information, we will be in constant touch with technology helping us in our daily affairs. Any comments or feedback on Web 4.0 is welcome as knowledge sharing is going to help each of us.
Thanks in advance

Web World
World Wide Web is changing fast. Gone are the days when you only logged in to get information and there were whole lot of sites dishing out information in a confusing manner to you. You were given lot of options and you had to think which one was right for you. Sometimes you were lost in the whirlpool of information and sometimes you failed to get what you wanted. This was the world of Web 1.0.
Then the web industry saw a great change. Now information was offered in much simplified manner. You were given the option not only to collect information but also to do your bit. You could share with others what you thought, you could add on information and you could also sustain some sites with your content, images and videos. This is what Web 2.0 is all about.
It doesn't only give you information but also offers you the platform to share your views, add comments and many more things. Blogs, discussion forums, social networking sites and book marking sites contribute a lot to the success of a website. If you are discussed more it means you are going to be there higher up in the traffic rankings in the search engines.Change is an integral part of life and yes web as well.
Now we all are waiting for Web 3.0 where we are not only going to read and write but also execute as explained by Tim Burner Lee, the director of W3C. We are waiting in anticipation for Semantic Web where data will be collated in one place and would be linked by relations. Where data will be understood by machines and it will save our time in searching for information. Many things need to be done in this regard but efforts have already started thus we have Twine, a social networking forum and Semantic web powered search engines like Hakia and Powerset. Though the Semantic Web is in a nascent stage now but if it comes in a big way , there is going to be a total revolution in what the web is now. Further there are many other web trends which are being discussed by experts like artificial intelligence, Web OS and Virtual World. All in all we have whole lot of surprises in store for us in the web,how ,much beneficial it will be for us , we just need to wait and watch.
